Description:
One of Donald Ross's original holes. The up hill tee shot leaves the eye wondering where to go. The elevated fairway gives way to a double tiered green guarded by bunkers on the left and a small creek to the right.
How to Play It:
You will want to hit your tee shot down the middle of the fairway. All balls landing in the fairway will funnel down the hill leaving you with a flatter lie for your second. With a layup off the tee you are left with 160-125 yards. This approach plays at least one club shorter than the yardage. Avoid going over this green as the up and in is very difficult. If you want to challenge this hole and feel comfortable drawing the ball, the longer hitter can huge the trees down the left and have in under 50 yards to this green.
