Description:
Hole number six is a downhill dog leg left. We want to wait until the bell is rung to hit our tee shot. The view from this tee box is the best on the course, gives the player a good understanding of the elevation changes at CCoP.
How to Play It:
The tee shot is a relatively easy one if the proper line is taken off the tee. Without being able to see the fairway from the tee, you will want to aim at the three smoke stacks on the horizon. If you can work the ball right to left, that would be good to get the ball rolling down the fairway rather than bounding through it. The second shot plays substantially down hill. Usually a two club difference from the yardage. The green is protected by mounds that will either kick your ball on the green or farther away. All approach shots landing short of the green will end up in the collection area on the front left part of the green. This green tends to have very large breaks.
